Tryouts for Miami Heat Dancers are usually held in late summer
Auditions to be a Miami Heat Dancer are usually held in late summer. The competition to be a member of one of the best squads of cheerleaders in sports can be fierce. In most years, hundreds of women tryout to be one of the 20 to 25 members of the Miami Heat Dancers.
In the weeks leading up to the actual tryouts, the Miami Heat hold a series of fee based workshops and clinics for prospective cheerleaders. At the workshops and clinics, women can learn what the team is looking for, and tips on how to become a Miami Heat Dancer.
In addition to performing at all Miami Heat home games, Miami Heat Dancers cheerleaders are also available to appear and perform at public events like trade shows and corporate functions, as well as at charity and civic events. Miami Heat Dancers have even performed overseas in places like China, Germany, Istanbul, Turkey and London, England.
